Terms & Conditions
Please Read The Terms and Conditions Carefully as they set out the contract
between you and Starlite Travel ("we, us and our"). Starlite

Terms & Conditions Starlite Travel act on behalf of the supplier of any given
travel product or service ensuring its clients and customers are satisfied with
their holiday requirements and are processed in accordance to the following
booking conditions.
1. Definitions – Starlite Travel refers "package" as the prearranged combination
of at least two of transport, accommodation and other tourist services not
ancillary to transport or accommodation and accounting for a significant
proportion of the package when sold at an inclusive price. The submission of
separate accounts for different components shall not cause the arrangements to
be other than a package and the fact that a combination is arranged at your
request and in accordance with your specific instructions (whether modified or
not) shall not of itself cause it to be treated as other than prearranged;
"travel product/service" means packages and any other travel related products
including (without limitation) flight, rail and coach tickets and insurance. The
term "Operator" directly refers to any person(s) organizing travel products and
sells or offers them for sale through The Global Travel Group PLC or (where The
Global Travel Group Plc is acting as the operator) The Global Travel Group Plc.
**Words denoting the singular include the plural.
2. Liability – Starlite Travel act on behalf of The Global Travel Group Plc in
connection with the sale of travel products and unless specified as the operator
The Global Travel Group Plc is an agent of the operator concerned. Accordingly,
there is no direct contractual relationship between you on the one hand and us
or (unless it is acting as the operator) The Global Travel Group Plc on the
other hand. All bookings accepted by Starlite Travel including arrangements made
on a clients behalf, are subject to the terms and conditions of the operator
concerned and Starlite Travel has no direct contractual liability to you in
connection with the travel product specified except as may be imposed by law.
3. Payment - A deposit is payable at the time of booking and the balance is
payable in accordance with the terms and conditions of the operator concerned or
(if applicable) will be re-confirmed at the time of booking. For travel products
and services booked within 12 weeks of departure full payment is required.

4. Amendments and Cancellations - In the event that you do not pay for the
travel product specified within the time limits specified by the operator
concerned or (if applicable) 12 weeks prior according to Starlite Travel’s
booking conditions shown, Starlite Travel reserve the right on its own behalf
and on behalf of The Global Travel Group Plc and the operator concerned, to
cancel your booking of the travel product on your behalf, or not to confirm the
final booking with the operator, in either case without further notification to
you. If this occurs then the initial deposit will not be refundable and the
balance of any further money paid by you for the travel product will be dealt
with in accordance with the operator's terms and conditions and any applicable
law.
4.1 Bookings for flights and Holidays may be amended or cancelled in accordance
with the relevant airline, flight or tour operator terms and conditions and are
subject to their amendment and cancellation charges. These charges are in
addition to Starlite Travel’s amendment and cancellation charges detailed below.
4.2 If you wish to make any Amendments to your Flight or
Holiday
for any unforeseen reason then the price of your new travel arrangements will be
based on the prices available on the day your booking is amended. Your are advised that there may be a
difference in price to your original booking.
4.3 If you wish to cancel you’re booking for your Flight or Holiday Package for
any unforeseen reason, and then please refer to 4.1 above. The charge for any Cancellation will
be the loss of the Initial Deposit as well as Starlite Travel Fee of £25.00 per
person.
5. Reminders – A Starlite Travel receipt/balance invoice will be your final
account notification and no further reminder regarding payment will be sent.
Starlite Travel, however, reserves the right to contact clients directly via
telephone or e-mail through our Admin and Account department regarding account
or balance queries, if deemed necessary.
6. The Global Travel Group Plc - Where The Global Travel Group Plc is acting as
the operator in respect of the travel product specified the following will
apply:-
6.1 Alterations - The Global Travel Group Plc reserves the right to cancel or
make a material alteration to a travel product:-
(i) for any reason whatsoever prior to the day on which payment of the balance
of the price becomes due; or
(ii) for reasons beyond control (direct/indirect) of Starlite Travel and the
Global Travel Group Plc at any time prior to departure.
"beyond the control of" means circumstances where performance and/or prompt
performance of the contract is prevented by reason of war or threat of war,
riots, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear
disasters, fire or adverse weather conditions and other similar circumstances
beyond the control of The Global Travel Group Plc and Starlite Travel.
6.2 Late Arrivals / Delays – It is the client’s responsibility to arrive at all
departure points, for both international and internal flights, at the specified
time on the tickets. Please be aware of current recommended check-in times in UK airports (minimum
3hrs for all flights – this also includes if clients are looking to request
specific seats)
6.2.1. It is the client’s responsibility to arrive at all departure points at
the time specified in the tickets and/or itineraries supplied by The Global
Travel Group Plc.
6.2.2. The Global Travel Group Plc does not accept responsibility for the
consequences of late or non-arrival as specified above.
6.3 Documentation - Passports, Visas, Health Requirements and Driving Licenses.
Starlite Travel client’s are responsible for the provision of necessary valid
documents including visas/waivers/transit visas/and any other applicable
document.
6.4 Health - Prior to travelling abroad, you are advised to study the
information given in DHSS Leaflet "Protect your Health Abroad" which is
available on request. And can be viewed at www.dh.gov.uk.
6.5 Insurance - Starlite Travel reserves the right not to accept bookings from
clients who are not insured against such holiday or travel risks as we may from
time to time specify.
6.6 Complaints – Starlite Travel’s reputation is impeccable with great client
reviews, however in the event of major issues or dissatisfaction, please report
locally to the hotel/operator representative. Starlite Travel do advise to
contact our Customer Support department where either your dedicated agent or
Customer Support member will to the utmost to resolve the clients issues from
the UK – making sure the client can enjoy the holiday before its over! Any
complaints in respect of the travel product specified must be made in writing
within 28 days of the end of the holiday or journey concerned.
6.7 Liability - 6.7.1. In respect of the sale by The Global Travel Group Plc of
any travel product The Global Travel Group Plc will, subject to the provisions
of this clause 6.7 accept liability in respect of the following:-
(a) where the services contractually agreed to be provided by The Global Travel
Group Plc prove to be deficient or if they are not of reasonable standard,
regardless of whether such services are supplied by The Global Travel Group Plc,
its employees or agents of its suppliers; and
(b) Where you can prove negligence in the provision of services contractually
agreed or arising out of an activity which forms part of the travel product
provided by The Global Travel Group Plc or any act or omission of The Global
Travel Group Plc's employees, agents or suppliers resulting in death, bodily
injury or illness to the person signing the booking form and/or any other of the
persons named on it. For the purposes of this clause 6.7 "suppliers" shall mean
any car rental, taxi, coach operator, property owner or any other person
supplying services to The Global Travel Group Plc whilst acting within the scope
of or in the course of their employment by The Global Travel Group Plc but shall
not include carriers.
6.7.2. Except as provided in clause 6.7.1. The Global Travel Group Plc shall not
be liable in respect of any loss or damage howsoever arising other than as a
result of its own negligence.
6.7.3. The liability of The Global Travel Group Plc, if any, pursuant to clause
6.7.1. shall be subject to any limitations provided by relevant international
conventions in respect of air, sea and land carriage and to any limitations
allowed under common law.
6.7.4. All baggage and personal possessions remain at all times and in all
circumstances at the owner's risk except where The Global Travel Group Plc is
proved not to have used due diligence in looking after them.
6.7.5. Nothing in clause 6.7 shall render The Global Travel Group Plc liable in
respect of any loss or damage arising from an event of force beyond its control
(as defined in clause 6.1).
6.7.6 The conditions imposed by all carriers (where applicable) shall be deemed
to have been accepted by you and are available upon request from the carriers.
6.8 Booking Fees – All major credit cards are accepted with a Visa & MasterCard
surcharge of 2%. These are charges applied by the relevant banking
authorizations and not Starlite Travel.
6.9 Copyright – Tropical Discounts is a trading style of Starlite Travel and all
material including images, text and any other intellectual property all belong
to Starlite Travel, its partners and licensed sources. All intellectual
property, including text and images, are not permitted to be used for commercial
purposes. All technology and processing of prices in this website is developed
by Starlite Travel and/or any partners. Images and logos on this website are
protected by international copyright laws and may not be reproduced without the
permission from Starlite Travel or it licensed partners.
6.10 Starlite Travel reserves the right to make changes to or amendments to its
terms and conditions at any time deemed reasonable. It is the client’s
responsibility to review the site.
6.11 monitoring Phone Calls/Emails – Subject to our Privacy Policy, Starlite
Travel may record or monitor telephone calls and emails for customer service and
training reasons only. This includes Starlit Travel’s agent direct number
beginning with 0161 819.
